I grew up in Montreal. I was raised by two loving parents. I have a younger brother. During my childhood, my parents did their best to instill good values in us. That being said, we hardly attended church as a family. In school during religion class, I learned the stories of Jesus but I never really understood the meaning of the Gospel.
At the age of 23, I became addicted to gambling. After almost 3 years, gambling brought me to end of myself and to my need for God. In my most desperate hour, God used people who sincerely loved him to reach out to me and tell me about Jesus. It wasn’t so much what they said, BUT rather the genuine love they demonstrated towards me. This is what attracted me to the Jesus they preached to me about.
At the age of 26, the gospel penetrated my heart. For the first time in my life, I knew I was forgiven and free!
I have found immense joy in sharing the hope I have in Christ with those who feel outside the bounds of His grace.
