OUR BELIEFS

SCRIPTURE

The original manuscripts of the Old and New Testament make up the full, word-for-word, truthful and inerrant Word of God which is the supreme and final authority in doctrine and practice. (Isaiah 40:8; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:14; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

THE TRINITY

Eternally existing in three equal persons - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit have the same nature and attributes but are distinct in office and activity. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 48:16; Jeremiah 10:10; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Acts 5:3-4;  2 Corinthians 13:14; Hebrews 1:8)

THE FATHER

The Creator of all things seen and unseen. He is the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Father of all who believe in Christ. He is the author of our faith, the One who sent the Son for the salvation of mankind. (Exodus 4:22; Psalm 2:7-9; John 5:37; Acts 17:29; Galatians 3:26; Ephesians 1:3-6; Hebrews 12:9; 1 Peter 1:3)

THE SON

God incarnate, conceived by the Holy Spirit. Jesus was born of a virgin, completely God and completely man. We believe in His pre-existence, His sinless life, His substitutionary atonement, His bodily resurrection from the grave, His ascension into heaven, and His bodily return to earth at His second coming. (Luke 1:35; John 1:1, 13, 18; Romans 3:24-26, 4:25; Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Hebrews 1:3, 7:23-25; 1 Peter 1:3-5; 1 John 2:1-2)

THE HOLY SPIRIT

Regenerates, indwells and seals all believers at the time of their conversion. Experientially, The Holy Spirit fills, teaches, leads, assures and prays for believers. (John 14:26; 16:6-15; Acts 1:5, 2:1-4; 11:1-18; Romans 8:14-16, 26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:19, 12:7-11, 13; Ephesians 1:13-14, 5:18; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-10; Titus 3:5)

SPIRITUAL GIFTS

Bestowed on every believer by the Holy Spirit. The ministry gifts of evangelists, pastors and teachers are given for the perfecting of the saints. Morever, the Holy Spirit baptizes with power all those who seek His fullness endowing believers with spiritual gifts for the mutual edification of the Church. (Acts 2:1-4; Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 1 Corinthians 13; 2 Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 4:7-12)

MAN

Created in the image of God and yet a sinner in Adam, mankind has thereby incurred both physical and spiritual death (separation from God). Man is now a sinner, both by nature and by choice, and is in need of salvation and reconciliation with God. (Genesis 1:1, 17, 2:17, 3:1-9; Isaiah 14:12-14; Luke 20:36; John 1:1-3, 8:44, 12:31; Romans 5:12-21; Ephesians 2:1-3; Colossians 1:16-17; Hebrews 1:13-14, 2:5-8, 14; 1 Peter 2:4; Jude 6; Revelation 20:10)

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

- 2 Timothy 3:16
